I photograph weddings the way I would attend them as a guest — with curiosity, without interrupting, and with the conviction that the most honest moments happen when no one is watching. I grew up in Toluca. Not a city that appears in wedding moodboards, not a destination that photographers dream of — just a city with grey light, unpredictable weather, and couples who taught me, without knowing it, that a great photograph has nothing to do with the location and everything to do with trust. From there I’ve carried my eye to Oaxaca, Mérida, Valle de Bravo, and further — including a wedding between Italy and Mexico that began with a message from Milan asking for someone local with a European sensibility. That message made me understand what I had been building: a way of seeing that doesn’t belong to any single place. My approach is documentary and cinematic. I don’t look for the perfect pose — I look for the moment just before and just after. The glance that no one directed. The hand that reaches out instinctively. The smile that appears because something real just happened.
